Peer Review Process

Jame'e-Pazhouhi (Community Studies) conducts the manuscript submission, review, and publication process in accordance with national and international scientific standards.

📄 Submission & Publication Process

  1. Submission: Manuscripts are submitted by the corresponding author via the journal's online system.
  2. Initial Screening: Editorial office checks scope, formatting, and originality using similarity-checking software (e.g., SamimNor, iThenticate).
  3. Referral to Section Editor: Section Editor provides preliminary scientific evaluation.
  4. Reviewer Selection: Two or three expert reviewers (at least two) are invited from national and international researchers.
  5. Peer Review: Double-blind review process; usual review period 8–12 weeks.
  6. Review Outcome: Possible decisions:
    • Acceptance without revision
    • Acceptance with minor revision
    • Acceptance with major revision and re-review
    • Rejection
  7. Notification to Author: Review outcome and comments are sent via the system.
  8. Author Revision: Authors revise manuscript and submit the final version with response letter to reviewers.
  9. Final Review & Decision: Section Editor and editors make the final decision.
  10. Manuscript Acceptance: Electronic acceptance certificate is issued and acceptance date recorded.
  11. Scientific, Linguistic & Technical Editing: Accepted manuscript undergoes professional editing and typesetting.
  12. Online First Publication: Final manuscript is published online with DOI prior to print issue.
  13. Print & Online Publication: Manuscript is published in the assigned issue of the journal (Print & Online).
